The names for this collection are inspired by Bambara, Malinke, and Dioula—three of the most prominent languages spoken in the Mali Empire during the time of Mansa Musa. These languages were chosen to honor the cultural heritage and linguistic diversity of West Africa during one of its most influential eras. Each name reflects the rich traditions, values, and essence of life in the Mali Empire, known for its creativity, resilience, and sophisticated artistry. By using these languages, the collection pays homage to an era that embodied elegance, connection, and legacy—qualities that resonate with the timeless, luxurious designs in this collection.
